Sentence-Completion
I
learned this exercise from Nathaniel Branden. I think he calls
it "sentence-stem completion." We have a lot of
information stored in our experience which is not available
to us on demand. One way we can retrieve this information
is with this exercise. Begin a sentence with something we
want to know more about and then quickly write down the first
8 or 10 things that occur to us as possible sentence endings.
Never less than 8, nor more than 15. It is important not to
edit answers but write down everything even if it does not
make sense, such as "the spinach was late."
